The Conquering Power

"The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith." -1 John 5:4 (MSG)

Conquer- to overcome; to acquire; to gain the victory
Faith- believe; trust

If our faith has power, why aren't we sharing it with everyone? If what we believe and the hope we have is what's going to bring surrender and change, why are we hesitant to speak up? I ask myself these questions all the time, because I want my life to be a beacon of hope. I want people to see Jesus Christ the Hope of Glory living within me. Within two weeks time, I've seen two of my friends enter into the Kingdom of God. That's the fruit of prayer and selfless love. I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that conviction is what led my friends into a life that will be lived forever with Jesus. Julius Caesar said, "Vini, vidi, vici." In english, it means "I came, I saw, I conquered." This phrase applies to us as Christ followers.

Vini:
I came into the Kingdom of God. No longer am I bound by darkness, but I am a daughter of God. I've been called and brought into His marvelous light.

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." -Romans 10:9 (NLT)

Vidi:
I saw the world through God's eyes, not in judgement but in love. It's not just Jesus living in us, but it's also us living in Jesus. Because of this, God can entrust us with his heart; we can see people not based on their outward appearances, but strictly on the fact that God loves them and they have purpose.

"Isaiah's question, "Is there anyone around who knows God's Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?" has been answered: Christ knows, and we have Christ's Spirit." -1 Corinthians 2:16 (MSG)

Vici:
I conquered the devil through the power of Jesus Christ and my faith. It's by the grace of God that I've been resurrected from death into life. This truth I know, is what's going to change lives. There's so much power in the name of Jesus Christ and my faith.

The conquering power is our faith. Don't be ashamed of it.
